Your privacy matters. This policy explains what data the Lucky Hours app and website collect, why, and how we protect it.
What we collect
Your mobile number and email address (to sign in and for your reservations), your optional name, your approximate location to show nearby shops, and, if you place a delivery order, the delivery address and any notes you save in the app. We also keep the messages you send our support team, a notification token if you allow notifications, and basic app usage (for example which screens you open and when the app starts, with a random identifier for your device) so we can fix problems and improve the app; this is never used for advertising or to track you across other apps or websites. If you apply to list your shop, we collect the shop name, your name, the area, your shop’s Instagram or Facebook page, and the phone number or email you choose to give us. We collect no payment data — all payment is cash, at the shop on pickup or on delivery.
Why we use your data
To show deals near you, sign you in with a one-time code sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp, confirm and deliver your reservation, answer your support questions, review shop applications, and send you notifications about your orders and offers in your area by push or WhatsApp.
Your location
If you are signed in and share your location or pick your area in the app, we save an approximate location on your account (rounded to about 1 km) and the service area it falls in, to show deals near you and send announcements for your area by push or WhatsApp. We may also set only your service area from the shops you order from, or from a location or area you shared with us on WhatsApp or when asking us to tell you when we arrive. We keep only the latest one, never share it with shops, and the location and area saved on your account are removed when you delete your account.
Data sharing
We use trusted services such as Google Firebase to run the app, and email, SMS and WhatsApp providers to send verification codes, order notifications, and to communicate with shops about your order. Your delivery address, if provided, is shared with the shop fulfilling that specific order. We never sell your data to third parties.
Ratings & reviews
When you rate a completed order, your star rating and any tags you select feed into the shop’s public average rating shown in the app. Written comments are used only for internal quality review and are not shared publicly or with the shop.
Your rights
You can request correction or deletion of your data at any time — directly from the app (Profile → Delete account) or by contacting team@luckyhours.app — and request a copy of your data the same way.
